"Our call to pursue peace, reconciliation, and healing of the spirit spreads beyond the walls, the pews, and church patios. It is a call to be forerunners of Christ's peace, catalysts of reconciliation, and agents of healing... everywhere, all the time, near and far, and as broadly as possible. It is a call to broaden the blessings and ministries, and to be a people of the temple..." (Apostle Mareva Arnaud Tchong, “Pursue Peace, Reconciliation and Healing of the Spirit” in Breathe New Life, 2018:10).
"Become a people of the Temple - those who see violence but proclaim peace, who feel conflict yet extend the hand of reconciliation, who encounter broken spirits and find pathways for healing." D&C 161:2a

As we gather
As preparations are being made to gather together from around the world, throughout the church we are in a state of sacred anticipation. We ask your blessing on all who come together to discern, discuss, and make decisions for the future of the church.
We pray for our sisters and brothers in all the nations who will carry their hopes, dreams, and questions to World Conference. But we acknowledge that cultural differences can be challenging when we discuss issues we care about deeply. May your Spirit of grace and unity weave us together in love.
World Conference is an invitation to co-create the future with you as we discern where your Spirit is leading on topics that affect the church and world. As we open our hearts to discernment, may we be freed to release our own agendas to become more available to discovering your bigger vision.
We give thanks and ready our hearts for the voice of your Spirit that “echoes across the eons of time and yet speaks anew in this moment.”
In Christ who embodied and lived God’s transforming love,
